Donor Quickstart

This page is for future donors who want a quick, safe way to understand Open Aid Ledger.

WALLETS_PUBLISHED: NO
ACTIVATION_APPROVED: NO

Do not send support while this status remains inactive.

Quick answer

Open Aid Ledger is not collecting support yet.

When the project is ready, the official public status page must clearly show:

• active status;
• approved campaign or support category;
• exact asset;
• exact network;
• approved receiving channel;
• ledger and report location;
• privacy controls;
• freeze status.

If any of those items are missing, do not send.

Safe future flow

Use this flow only after the public status page says support is active:

1. Open the official public status page.
2. Confirm DONATIONS_ACTIVE is YES.
3. Confirm WALLETS_PUBLISHED is YES.
4. Choose the approved campaign or support category.
5. Confirm the exact asset and network.
6. Copy the receiving detail only from the public status page or approved repository source.
7. Send from a compatible wallet or exchange.
8. Save the transaction reference.
9. Check the public ledger or report after reconciliation.

Do not trust shortcuts

Do not send based on:

• a private message;
• a screenshot;
• an old copied address;
• a comment that is not linked from the official public status page;
• pressure to act before the status page is updated;
• a promise of profit, yield, repayment, or special benefit.

What makes support meaningful

Support is meaningful when donors can see:

• what the project status is;
• what channel was approved;
• what campaign or support category was active;
• how records are reconciled;
• where public reports are published;
• how beneficiary privacy is protected;
• how the project freezes activity if something looks wrong.
